Ken & Brad Kolodner are a Baltimore-based father–son Acoustic Roots Stringband built on family, tradition, and a shared passion for Old Time music. What began as informal living-room sessions grew into a nationally touring collaboration. Ken is one of the most respected hammered dulcimer players in the US, known for his work with Helicon and elevating the instrument in folk music. Brad is a dynamic clawhammer banjo player and composer, blending tradition with fresh ideas. Together, their music is joyful, inventive, and deeply connected. Ken & Brad Kolodner are proof that Old Time music is anything but static. It’s a living tradition, carried forward through relationships, stories, and the simple act of playing music together.
